4 Shops 1 Year

It's been way too long since I last did one of these. I use my blog as an outlet to process my thoughts after challenging times, and what a time it has been.

I'm thrilled to share an exciting milestone: last month we opened our newest location in Carmarthen. The launch came with some unexpected complications — while preparing the shop, I fell from an 8-foot ladder and sustained four broken ribs. Despite this, myself and the team persevered and we opened just one week behind schedule.

The opening day exceeded every expectation. The turnout was incredible and the team were absolutely brilliant. I'm still amazed every time I see customers purchase cakes that began as a teenage hobby in my parents' kitchen.

Looking forward, there are no immediate plans for additional locations. The past year — marked by opening four shops — delivered so many valuable lessons. We made mistakes, but we also learnt a lot.
