A Feast Fit For St David
Share
March 1st marks a centuries-old Welsh celebration honouring St David, our patron saint. It's a day for wearing daffodils or leeks, donning traditional Welsh attire, and enjoying dishes like cawl, bara brith, and Welsh rarebit.
This year I collaborated with some brilliant Welsh businesses to create something special.
Tregroes Brownie — a gooey brownie loaded with caramel, chocolate chips, and butter toffee waffles from Tregroes Waffles, the only business in the UK producing baked waffles.
Next: a gooey brownie paired with handcrafted vanilla fudge from The Fudge Foundry in Pembrokeshire — multiple Great Taste Award winners.
And finally: blondies topped with jam and award-winning Welsh cakes from Tan Y Castell, also in Pembrokeshire. Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus!
